I made the decision. I gave my life to the Lord. He saved me. From sin.....from myself. I start this walk with Jesus. I committed to doing THIS THING WELL. I’m smiling. I do all the things – read my Bible, pray, serve. I add newness to my life, and subtract the old things. I have zeal. Life makes sense. He might as well come back now. Cuz I’m REEEEAAAAADDY! Ok?
Fast-forward 6 months, better yet, 6 weeks. Wait, what happened? Was I dreaming? Did I make a mistake? It's just been 6 weeks?!?
Somewhere after your YES, life put it to the test. And when life starts life’ing, it does it well. What seemed so clear and straightforward is now convoluted and obscure. Everything became exhausting and the Person I thought I was pursuing took, what felt like, a backseat.

And being a Christian doesn’t have to be confusing. His commands are NOT burdensome. He came to give you life not confusion. And, all you need to make it a reality, you have already. 2 Peter 1:3 (my version) - All you need for life and godliness has been given to you. It's already given. It's already yours. It's already in you.
